Kye's Climate Action Fund ("KCAF," "we," "us") is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, EIN 93-4597470. We care about the people who support this work, and we collect as little information about you as we reasonably can.
The short version. We collect your email if you subscribe, and your name and message if you contact us. Donations are processed by Zeffy, not by us — we never see or store your card number. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing info@kyesclimateactionfund.com.

Our website does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics. Our web host records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited. These logs are used to keep the site running securely and are not used to build a profile of you.
We may add privacy-respecting website analytics in the future to understand which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this notice before turning it on, and we will choose a service that does not sell visitor data or track people across other websites.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives your IP address. We do not control that collection; see Google's privacy policy for details.
We never receive your payment card number, bank account, or billing details. Donations are handled entirely by Zeffy, our third-party donation platform. Your card information goes to Zeffy and its payment processors, never to KCAF.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for advertising.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in these situations:

We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the relationship. We keep donation records for at least seven years, because tax and nonprofit recordkeeping rules require it — this means we may need to retain a record of your gift even after you ask us to delete other information.
You can, at any time and at no cost:
Email info@kyesclimateactionfund.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
California's consumer privacy laws generally do not apply to nonprofit organizations, so KCAF is most likely not a "business" covered by the CCPA. We offer the rights above voluntarily because we think you should have them regardless.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Young people are central to our mission, and some of the activists we support are minors — where we work directly with a minor as a grantee, we obtain appropriate parent or guardian consent separately. If you believe a child has given us information through this website, email us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we deliberately limit what we collect so that there is less to protect. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this notice as our practices change. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will say so on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated notice.
